Today CO2 neutrality is every car manufacturer’s first priority. The obvious solution is changing the machine itself. But this is costly and time consuming.

What if by changing the HMI, you could change the behavior of human beings? This does not change the physical car itself, but would enable quick and relatively inexpensive changes in behavioral patterns.

Kivi's team in Atelje Sotamaa consists of brilliant architects, designers and artists with experience in executing ambitious projects around the world. He is driven by a fascination with sensation, how people experience design. In order to make experiences seamless his studio designs projects holistically, across scale and media. His work benefits from years of design research conducted at institutions such as the UCLA Architecture & Urban Design.

Director of Vehicle & Industrial Design at ULTRA Design & Strategy, with experience from Tesla and Mazda

Joonas is a scrappy creative, seasoned in automotive OEMs, Silicon Valley start-up grind and in automotive and product design consulting. His expertise and passion is in taking large system level, complex concepts to production, with a keen eye on clarity, structure and proportion. Joonas has been an instrumental designer in several pioneering and award winning projects ranging from vehicle interiors and exteriors to drones, boats and consumer electronics.
